How to Create Discount Codes in Squarespace
Hey friends,
It’s Dani here from Wandersouls Creative.
And today, I’m showing a quick and easy tutorial on how to create discount codes in Squarespace.
They’re fun to do and useful to bring more sales into your online shop. So, if you’re one of those that are really looking forward to bring that special discount to your audience, this video is for you.
Are you ready?
How To Create Discount Codes in Squarespace
The first thing that you’re going to do is click on the “Commerce” option on the main menu.
Then, click on “discounts”.
From here, click on the plus (+) sign, and the menu to create your discount will pop up.
Now, type in the name for your discount (this is the name that will appear to your customer at the checkout).
You can select whether you would like your discount to be automated on your web page or by creating a discount. Quick note: Discount codes are my favorite because you can play around and add catchy names on them for promotional purposes and whatnot.
If you select Discount Code, you can Squarespace generate a code from you, or you can type in the discount code that you would like (get creative).
Now that you had typed your discount code, you can select whether you would like the discount to be a percent of the total price, the amount of the total price, or free shipping.
Then, you can select where this discount code applies to. Is it for a single product? Is it for a whole category? Is it for orders over x amount of price? You name it!
Next, you can limit the discount to x amount of uses and you can limit the discount code to one use per customer per email.
Last, you can set the date to when the discount would start and expire (if you want it to expire).
Always click “SAVE”.
And there you have it!!!!
That’s it!
